(except the ending), or to access any part of the house (but the
puzzles are not solved for you). During the starting screen (the

Go down to offset 2544, then enter the value 286B. This will give you
about 27,400 points to start your captain with. It should give you all
of the possible sub improvements and leave about 7000pts. to put into
your crew.

This can be done before you begin your first mission. All you have to
do is create a captain, and then exit the game without choosing a
mission.

You can use the cheat again after your first mission to get another
27,400 pts. but you will only be able to use about 5000 to max out
your sub and crew.

A-10 Cuba

The "invincible aircraft" setting is available in the controls. When
this is on, pressing control-tab will add 500 feet to your altitude.
While in flight (or after you die), you can hit + s to go into slow
mode. You start out in the exact geographic center of the island. No
hit + x to turn on your joystick. Now, you can move (point)with your
stick. Here are the keys:

8 -- hit _ repeatedly _ to go forward
2 -- hit _ repeatedly _ to go backwards
4 -- hit _ repeatedly _ to go left
6 -- hit _ repeatedly _ to go right

The trigger fires the cannon (toned-down for some reason) and fires
heavily toned-down mavericks. Now you can visit the baseball field in
Havana, the hole in the wall, or complete the mission after you die.

Hex Cheats:
The saved game data is in the files named GAMEx.SAV in the SAVE
folder. As the location of the weapons data will vary depending on
when and where the game is saved, hopefully the following procedure
will be successful. Using a hex editor with search capability, find
the string "DirectPlayer" (without the quotes). Now count 297 bytes
from the end of that string. This has worked on every saved game file
tried, but it may not work in all cases.

A hex FF in the first byte (297 from "DirectPlayer") enables any
weapon if there is ammo for it.

The number of shots for weapon 1 is located in bytes 33 and 34.
The number of shots for weapon 2 is located in bytes 49 and 50.
The number of shots for weapon 3 is located in bytes 41 and 42.
The number of shots for weapon 4 is located in bytes 25 and 26.
The number of shots for weapon 5 is located in bytes 45 and 46.
The number of shots for weapon 6 is located in bytes 17 and 18.
The number of shots for weapons 7 and 9 is located in bytes 53 and 54.
The number of shots for weapon 8 is located in bytes 29 and 30.
The number of shots for weapon 0 (10) is located in bytes 21 and 22.
These can be maxed out to 65,535 shots with hex FF FF.

Also, any level of the game can be accessed (if no better way can be
found) by simply renaming the first level, M1.CAN to something else,
copying the desired level file (level files are named M1.CAN through
M25.CAN) to M1.CAN, then beginning a new game. Of course when the
level is completed, the game will start the regular level 2.

Saved game hex cheats:
The SAVED.BDL file contains the saved game info. Each of the 5 save
game slots contains 244 bytes of data. The 9th byte contains which of
the 4 missions in each zone have been completed. As the 4 missions are
displayed in different quadrants of the screen, the hex numbers in
this byte mean that different missions have been completed depending
on which zone the saved game is for.

The 13th byte is which zone the game is in (A through G).

The 23rd, 24th, and 25th bytes contain the amount of money.
It can be maxed out to $999,999 with the hex values 3F 42 0F.

The 31st and 32nd bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #1.
The 49th and 50th bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #2.
The 67th and 68th bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #3.
The 85th and 86th bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #4.
The 103rd and 104th bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #5.
The 121st and 122nd bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #6.
The 139th and 140th bytes contain the number of shots in weapon #7.
These can be maxed out to 9999 with the hex values 0F 27.
